Monday-spiration

February 9, 2015 Melissa LuVisi

Mondays are sometimes the hardest day of the week for me. In an attempt to motivate myself and hopefully you too, I thought I'd start a new series. Here some of the things from the inter-webs inspiring me this week.

I saw this thread about Pricing Art on Reddit. I thought it was interesting. What do you think?

I’m really into model Cameron Russell's latest project Interrupt Mag.

Let the rubber bond to my feet because I can’t help but live in these. Here they are in multiple colors, red and navy.

This Picasso and this Matisse show are a must see in New York!

If my internet crush on Tim Ferriss isn’t obvious enough yet, check out his podcast with female entrepreneur Tracy DiNunzio. She AIRBNB’d her bedroom and slept on her couch to fund her first business.

I am bummed that my move to California means I won’t have an excuse to buy these this season.

I’m just not dahn with Gawker’s article about Pittsburgh’s accent.

I love the blog ramshackleglam, it’s one of my daily go-tos. It also got me through a lot of my initial blogging insecurities.

Brisk air = tights, tights and more tights.

I hope you like this new series. The n'at is Pittsburghese for "and that," it's my way of paying homage to the city I've called home for the last two years.

Lu Curates in Pittsburgh

After two years of working on an arts startup together we officially parted ways this summer. If I’m being honest, it has me feeling a little lost. Before, my direction seemed clear. There was a business plan to stick to and there were dedicated goals to be reached.

Why Small Businesses and Start-Ups Should Use Social Media

August 10, 2014 Melissa LuVisi
The small business essentials

Many of the people I know in Pittsburgh and in other cities across the country own small businesses. After owning my own business and having exposure to the battlefield of brand building, I thought I'd put together a post about why it's important for start-ups and small businesses to use social media.
