I met Diane while we both were attending UCLA (GO BRUINS!). I had just moved to Los Angeles from little ole' Grass Valley and was endlessly intrigued by the deeply embedded artist culture of my new city. A culture I have always felt Diane uniquely taps into. It has been an honor to watch her work evolve from taking photos of friends on the rooftops of buildings to producing her one-of-a-kind publication, Suspend Magazine.

On travel days I wake up at sunrise, pack the night before and check-out in a flurry to get on the road. As I get older, I don't like driving at night and try avoid it the best I can. Plus it's nice to have extra day-time once you have arrived at your destination.
Once we reached Austin Texas we had been driving all day since 5am from New Orleans (part 1). Somewhere along the line, I decided to drink a grape flavored 5 Hour Energy drink and skip lunch. Bad move. Have you ever had this chemical nonsense passing as food?

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! This week I’m in Pittsburgh for a visit. It is the perfect time of year to be traveling to PA. The forests are lush and the weather sweetly changes between gentle rainstorms and hot summer days. Plus, the Three Rivers Arts Festival is going on in PGH which is one of my favorite concert series!
This Summer's season beginnings are reflected in the vegetable garden as the green blueberries and pepperoncini buds peek through. I can’t help but feel rejuvenated and motivated to take on the next couple of months.
