New Orleans touched my heart in a singularly impressive way that it is hard for me to put it into words. The genuine Southern charm knocked my lover and I off our feet. We found ourselves day-dreaming about summer homes and days filled with traditional pots of boiling jambalaya or gumbo...perhaps, we'd even attempt homemade beignets.

Happy Monday everyone! I have exciting news to announce, I found office space and signed the lease last week! Hence, the silence on the blog. While it is not in the Bay Area as I had hoped, it is in California in my hometown of Grass Valley. Making the decision to take a step back before trying to fight my way into another city didn't come lightly. I'm excited to start settling down after several months of floating. But, enough about me, let's get inspired!
Gypset Style, Travel + Living have had a profound influence on my style and design aesthetics. I recommend starting with Gypset Style. Reading and flipping through the pages of these books is like sipping on port wine; sheer luxury.
For music, I discovered this Aaron Wright song last week and can't stop playing it.
I'm really into the contemporary combination of modern and retro. I love the vibe of this hanging rattan chair.
I finally get a desk (mine will probably be bigger than this), and can stop working from the kitchen table! I'm so, so stoked.
One of my must haves is record player, I found a refurbished vintage one at the local record shop. Refurbished record players can get expensive but Dot & Bo do carry, "starter" record players.
